Heatwave sizzles North China

June 26, 2009 | Posted by Chris

Much of North China has been experiencing a wicked heatwave with temperatures since Tuesday clocking in at about 99 degrees fahrenheit, the China Daily reports. Beijing has been no exception, and since last Saturday local residents have been suffering daily highs of over 90 degrees--and it's forecast to hit 100 degrees Wednesday and Thursday of next week. Among them is the use of taxi transportation because of the air conditioned ride one enjoys--a nice treat on a hot day, especially compared to taking a hot and crowded bus.
