Before his official visit ended yesterday, the premier of North Korea was urged by Chinese President Hu Jintao to resume international talks aimed at dismantling its nuclear program, according to ABC News. The six party talks, which also include the US, South Korea, Japan and Russia, are hosted by China but have been stalled since 2007; Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao reportedly told the visiting premier that China seeks to "actively push forward" the deadlocked negotiations. Kim Jong Il, the leader of North Korea, may visit Beijing in early April.
