China swine flu update

Xinhua news reports that yesterday the Chinese mainland confirmed 17 new cases of swine flu, bringing the nationwide total to 143 since the first case was confirmed about one month ago. The 17 new cases have wide geographic variance: 2 each in Beijing, Guangdong Province and Hubei Province, and 1 each in Shanghai, Tianjin, and Sichuan, Fujian, Guizhou, Hainan, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Liaoning Provinces. The Ministry of Health reports that so far there have been no deaths.
