Beyonce show scheduled

Beyoncé is scheduled to bring her "I Am...Sasha Fierce" tour to Beijing for one show only on October 23, according to Billboard. The show will take place in the Wukesong Gymnasium and tickets range from $45 to $260. The Wukesong Gymnasium, in western Beijing on red subway line 1, played host to Olympic basketball events and has since been used by the NBA for their preseason "China Games." This is not Beyoncé's first foray into performing in China: in 2007 she played shows in Shanghai and Macau, which has its own autonomous government and is known for its large gambling industry. And while her Beijing show is still a few weeks away, there are some other big foreign names in Beijing this weekend. Skid Row, the 80s rock band that made hits with songs like "Youth Gone Wild" and "18 and Life," performed last night in Beijing's Star Live arena. In the sports world, tennis star Serena Williams is also in Beijing this weekend, being -- in her words -- "a complete tourist" until the China Open starts today. "I've decided I want to do more of the markets and shopping -- maybe get some jade and things like that," she says of her free time in Beijing.
